Riverview Gardens is a 28 building, 232 unit, urban, multi-family housing project.  The work includes the conversion of 12 one bedroom units providing ADA Handicap Accessible apartments.  Exterior renovation amenities include new front porches, backyard decks and patios, the addition of individual storage units for each apartment, and new dormers which break the existing roof line providing additional visual relief.  New site work encompasses "satellite" playgrounds, as well as, benches and picnic tables dispersed throughout the development.  Additional lighting to create a safe and secure environment and a variety of plantings to accent the new sense of streetscape.  Interior construction and modernization includes new, larger kitchen and dining rooms allowing families enough space to gather together for meals.  In three and four bedroom units, a half-bath has been added to improve function and update the apartments.  Utility closets with washer/dryer hookups have been added in every unit.  To facilitate the success of this project, Owner/Resident/Design Team meetings were scheduled throughout the design process.
